The 1935 California Pacific Int'l Exposition was one of the 'minor' exhibitions, deservedly overshadowed by the preceding 'A Century Of Progress' in Chicago.
I stumbled upon three cards from this expo, which I had not heard of before. It appears that many of the buildings from the 1915 California-Pacific Exposition were refurbished and reused for this fair, which probably saved the organizers some money. We can thank the renovation done for this expo for the buildings that remain in Balboa Park, or they most likely would not have survived into the present day.
