The 2nd one from the left is a slogan cancel. All the others are precancels.

It is what they call a "style U".

Actually I believe this is Style T. The tips of all the waves are flattened on Style U. That does not appear to be the case here. Style T comes in three flavours depending on the dimensions of the precancel. These are shown in the image below from my trusty "The Canada Precancel Handbook".

My precancel catalogue values the 2c purple at $3. If the precancel is actually a Style U, then it would be valued at $125. An image of Style-U is shown below.

These are the only types of bar precancels used on the Victoria Numeral issue according to the catalogue.

Here are example of styles "T" and "U" that I just found on ebay. To me jimjamtwo's stamp looks like a Style T. But it is hard to tell for sure because the "wave" is not very clear. I would suggest using the dimensions shown in my previous post to verify.

Amazing! Thanks for the information, everyone!

This is another Canadian precancel I'm confused by. I've seen copies of what look to me like the same stamp with the same precancel selling for prices from under $5 to over $100. So are there desirable variations for this precancel as well?

jimjamtwo,
That last stamp of yours looks like a 10c plum coloured Admiral with a Toronto Style 7 precancel. This is normally worth very little, however you appear to have a cancel variety consisting of a break in the top line under the T of TORONTO. This might add a buck or two to the price. So generally this would be worth a few bucks at best in this condition.

Of course the condition of the stamp itself is important and a VF example would be more valuable. The only way I really see this stamp valued above $10 would be if it were mint (or gummed since a precancel cannot really be mint). In this case it would be VERY expensive since the normal stamp is quite valuable in mint condition and precancels with gum are also very rare.

Thanks for the response, Scottamer!

What I was really asking was whether there are other similar types of precancel or whether this is the only one of its type.
