Dudley - I think you´re correct. Every now and then I do the same thing, just out of fascination to see what goes down. And I have seen a few sales/purchases ´out of this world´. I hope the buyers did see something extraordinary nobody else knew existed..
I looked at this seller's prior feedback. He looks to be a seller dealing mainly in antiques.
I've seen this happen before. A dealer in general stuff gets a ratty stamp lot and puts it out there with a huge start or BIN price. Then if it doesn't sell he lists at a lower one.
What is wrong with this one is that I doubt he will go low enough to get a bite. I used to sometimes message the poor souls who were listing stuff like this at huge prices to gently tell them they were wasting their time, I would either get no reply or in a few cases angry ones. One threatened to report me for 'interference.'
