Can someone help me identify these old German stamps and what they might be worth? Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I'm new to this and it's my first post. Thanks!

In monetary terms they are not worth anything. They are so abundant they can be picked up for next to nothing.

However from the point of view of their historical and philatelic interest, I love these stamps. They were issued in hyper-inflation Germany, in the early 1920s. One of your stamps has a face-value of 50 million marks! There are others from this period, face-valued in the billions - and you can pick them up for pennies. Well worth keeping in my view.

If you want a more detailed identification, you'd need to reference a catalogue - check here to begin with: http://www.stampworld.com/en/stamps...75897&page=4

For some historical background, Wikipedia has a good article on the hyper-inflation of 1921-1923:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper...mar_Republic

By the end, the inflation rate was so high, workers were literally paid twice per day so they could go out and spend it quickly before it lost its value. Currency was so worthless that it was worth more to banks as a source of scrap paper than as money. There are many other anecdotes, such as someone stealing a basketful of money only to dump the money out because they just wanted the basket, or using the currency as wallpaper. An interesting era to read about, to be sure, but one I'm glad I never had to experience firsthand. And this instance of hyper-inflation isn't even the world's worst example, although it's probably the most famous.
