I have a large IRC collection from all over the world. My father who passed in 1976 collected them. Are they worth anything?

There are many collectors who collect IRCs. All have some value, but none issued before 2013 can be redeemed. However, if you have USA IRCs, you can exchange them for 1c less than the face value at any post office.

The first IRCs were issued in October 1907. There have been 8 different basic designs since then. Up until 1976, there were only 4 basic designs.

Gless Estus - I have three mint UPU IRCs - no country identified. They show C22 in UR corner; face language is French; and there are six back languages - one of which is English. Can I assume these are French Post?
