From what I can tell, this is a Lagos Scott 19 A1. But is it blue or ultramarine? Large or small "PENNY"? No clue on the watermark.

Anyone?

Thanks.

I was afraid someone might ask that. I don't have a gauge.

hahaha! It`s just that I think there were two issues of the stamp. It went from perf 12.5 to 14. (I think.) Do you have a confirmed 14 perf in your collection to which you could compare this stamp?

Paul, the color is blue. And in this case I believe the perforation is not important because the other stamp is violet. But really, you ought to get a perforation gauge if you are going to sell stamps.

paul, I'm pretty sure that your stamp is the large penny version. Here's a link that might be of interest: http://naijastamps.blogspot.com/201...ives-of.html

The 2 1/2d was only issued in perf 14, so you can hold the gauge. You can find gauges online if you don't want to buy a ohysical one.
