I found only one on the net, but it has got different perforation then the one I own, I don't think that I have a special one, so any opinion that you would send might help me.

Thanks,

It's a German overprint, they are from the Russian 1937 freimarken which you have for the 5c in 2 different perforations:12:12.5 and 12.5 .
The 12 1/4 doesn't excist as far as I know.

Hi Kevin38.

exactly, I know that... and I searched a lot to find any info regarding the existence of rare ones with different perforation... and today I found this:

What do you think about it?

Robi, I think it is impossible. The 1956 stamp in the Cherrystone auction was issued long after the 1941 Latvia overprints.

I`m confused about what is at issue here. I think 1/4 of a perf difference, considering how catalogs often round off, is nothing to worry too much about.

BeeSee & KGB.

stamps are about tiny details and "perfection" based on the opinion of much wiser people than I am. btw based on the perf, the difference is 1/2 perf horizontal and 1/4 vertical,
in the links below I don't see such a stamp neither in 1956 nor in 1939. So, what you are telling me is that, its normal or common thing without any rarity?
Whats the rarity than in the ones sold through cherrystone?

Is it just me or does this thread have a familiar feel to it?

Robi13,

The horizontal perf measurement on the overprint is incorrect. PerfoMaster is detecting an extra perf three in from the right. It also appears that the stamp may have been reperfed at top.

With regard to the vertical, there's some variation because Michel doesn't typically give perfs in quarter increments -- 12 1/4 would be rounded to either 12 or 12 1/2.
