I collect stamps worldwide. I know how to handle that... just fill a spot in an album. I enjoy that but I am becoming more and more interested in worldwide covers/ cards, etc. I have several hundred that are now in a box because I can't figure out what to do with them. So how do you organize yours?
Vario sheets for 3 ring binder (I use Lighthouse albums) - two pocket both sides - you can add descriptive material if you wish and interleave the pages with the rest of your collection assuming you also use Vario sheets for your singles and blocks or hand mounted-hand-designed pages. Alternatively, a Lighthouse or other FDC album. Covers add variety and interest to a collection and I prefer to mix them in with the rest of my material.
I use ultra-pro 2 pocket pages which gives each pocket a 5 x 7 inch space, place a heavy stock card behind each cover with the info on the cover: country, scott number, subject of stamp(s), postmark date & postmark location. Each country on a separate sheet, with up to 4 covers per sheet. On covers over the 5 x 7 inch size, I use a full 8.5 x 11 inch ultra pro sheet, again with card stock behind the cover. Currently over 300 covers from around the world, plus over 300 first day covers from the USA.
