Netherlands City And Town Cinderellas

Is there any online reference for these Netherlands City and Town Cinderellas?

I've never seen that set before. It's very nice.

Does anyone know anything about these cinderellas???

Looks like something sold to tourist or a children's book of stickers .

Timm, I am Dutch but have never seen these. We need to find somebody in Holland who knows Cinderella's. I will keep a look out. Don't go away! By the way, they are impossible to read. If I blow them up they become way out of focus. Could you maybe re-scan just a few so I can read them?

I tried to find out a bit more about these stamps, but drew a blank. All I can say is they can be dated as pre 1940. Some of the stamps read 'Bestel niet op zondag' which translates to 'Do not deliver on Sunday'. Sunday delivery ended in 1940 in the Netherlands.

Any Netherlands cinderella experts out there to help Identify these?

I haven't seen these before in my searches for cinderellas.

In style, they look very much like some other cinderellas I have run across. I am speaking of 1920's or 1930's items that feature 2 different subjects: Esperanto and Estonia. I don't believe I have any of these, but I'll post them if I do.

I tried to find out a bit more about these at the recent Cinderella Congress in London but without any joy.
I do believe they are so old, the paper is shiny and they look and feel modern. I had never seen them before this year but they have flooded the market in recent months especially [but not only] on ebay.

I have sent scans to a Dutch friend to see if he knows anything.

These cinderellas have occasionally appeared on ebay for many years, but never with an explanation as to where they came from or when they were produced.

I am really surprised no one seems to know the origin of these cinderellas. They are plentiful on ebay.

If the cinderellas were made for sale to tourists by a private vendor, then there would very likely have been little, or no documentation of their origin. Charity labels "leave a trail", but these kinds of items usually do not...unless they are sponsored by some government, or organization.

Looked at the cinderellas, so far no luck finding good information. However the Waalwijk one, shows us the ontwerp(design/drawing) of the Waalwijk Raadhuis(indicating is was not yet build). the Waalwijk Raadhuis was actually build between 1929 and 1932. So probably the cinderellas are 1929 or earlier. The rest I cannot read. Kind regards, Johan.

Is from "Maatschappij van verzekering op het leven Noord-Braband" ("Society of Insurance on Life North Braband")about 1930/40.
Founded in 1843, the society was mainly engaged in funeral insurance until 1883, and later on life insurance. Since 1969, the company is a daughter of Delta Lloyd.

Does anyone have additional information about these cinderellas?

I have found some more info on these cinderellas.

The stamps were issued/sold to raise funds for the Nationale Crisis Comite. A comite founded in 1931 to help poor/unemployed people to meet ends.

Shown is a picture with a set of 60 stamps with enveloppe.

Sadly not mine, the owner told me,that there were many more designs and also color variations.

The word Steedeschoon on the envelop means Beautiful parts of the city.
