Welcome to the Forum. Nice big margins on many of the earlier stamps. We would have to see bigger scans of the first 2-4 rows to help you out further. |

Burrito - a fine collection with several nice medium-value classics. If you're asking for high-value only the imperfed 5 c green between the 6th and 7th row jumps at me. That's from the rather rare Bordeaux issue (issued in Bordeaux in 1870 while Paris was besieged by the Germans). Can't remember catalog number but believe the listed price is around $200. Unfortunately your copy has a short trimming at right, so it's off little actual retail value. The 10c imperfed stamp above it also seems to be of the same issue, less cat value but probably more retail value due to better condition. What would attract me is some of the very fine postmarks on some of the more ordinary stamps. I hope you don't sell, keep them and expand on this collection - a wonderful starting point for the awesome stamps off France. |

Welcome to the hobby & the forum, burrito sunrise. Just to explain: the catalog (reference) prices are for stamps in near-perfect condition, and very slight blemishes bring the price crashing down. Cheers, /s/ ikeyPikey |

The French heads on stamps are called Napolean III stamps some imperf and some Perf, the imperf issues started in 1849 & changed to perf at some point then the perf issues went right through to 1876. There are 375 different types colours and different shades. You need a specialized French catalog to value them. I recommend 'Le grand nuancier des timbres classiques de France Cares et Napoleon' if you search ebay France you'll be able to find one for about 20 Euro its an excellent way to id the correct colour of each of these stamps you have and value them according to the catalog prices at the back of the book. You may have a couple of valueable ones there. |

I actually have tons of old stamps, from all around the world, any countries that you guys want to specifically see? I even have a book that is only on the colonies of france, from the early 1900's. Tell me what countries you guys are interested in! |

Greetings! I really can't contribute to the topic, but I did want to say. I really dig the name Burrito Sunrise, very imaginative! |

Hi burrito sunrise,
From the four (4) photos of the Canada stamps does not seem to include any high value stamps. There may be a re-entry of other printing variety included, but this would need much higher resolution and possibly a physical inspection of the stamp.
A good start to a early Canadian collecton.
