I received a 10 stamp strip of stamps from Canada Post today. What is the correct number of stamps one should save? The color dots and text strip in the center and how many on each side? This is the Star Trek coil, so if I understand, it will either be 2 stamps on each side, or three stamps on each side. Help pleasse.

I saw this question somewhere else, and it seems to depend all on either your personal preference or how your album will dictate it. If you get yearly supplements to an album I'd just wait till it comes out.

Unitrade list gutter strips of 4 with inscription, dots in middle. Or starter and end strips of 4, dots on top or bottom. Like wert said though longer the better (pun intended). I've been doing gutter strips of 10 and remember see listing somewhere but can't think of where atm. It might have even been a newer unitrade book I glance at as I'm working of a 2008 copy.

Four's the limit for me. Unitrade gives a value and I don't spend the extra 6 x 85¢ = $5.10.
More than that takes up too much room.
On the down side, Canada Post (local office or website) no longer wants to sell strips of four - or strips of anything, for that matter. So you need a reasonable dealer or a friend in the business ;)

PS With the Star Treks and Zambonis and florals (ie pairs) you might get two strips: one of each stamp above the break.
