There is an new article in Canadian Stamp News Volume 42 #19 Jan 9 – Jan 22, 2018 on the Stickney rotary press entitled "BEP mechanic left mark on U.S., Canadian stamps" A century ago, stamp production was very different than it was today. Page 16

Thanks jogil for the info ! much appreciated and as you might know, my father was owner of the biggest French speaking newspaper in Eastern Canada, a weekly, and also owner of a big "printing shop" = he did a lot of work for the N.B. Government in the 60s but no stamps...hahahaha !I was familiar with all "presses" as we called them but being young, not very technically !
