A few weeks back, in a different post, I mentioned buying some Latvian postcards on ebay. They finally arrived and I figured I'd share 3 different types. They all appear to be either long distance chess games or chess problems.

The postcard is H & G 5 cancelled Strenci 28.10.27

The postcard is H & G 7 cancelled TPO Valmiera-Ainazi un Otradi P.V. Nod dated 27.9.29. The difference between this one and the one before is the size. The first one is 138 x 88 mm. The second one is 150 x 105 mm.

The final one is H & G 8 cancelled Salacgriva 21.XI.36. This is also the 150 x 105 mm size.

I found an article regarding official postcards of the period and if anyone has any questions about these or other values I will try and answer them for you.
