Does anyone know about a website that gives you Scott numbers of worldwide stamps for free?? I need help on identifying Scott numbers on most of my stamps due to the fact that I'm new to the Scott number things . Please help. Thank you
The only way that companies producing stamp catalogues can make money is by selling the catalogue, not giving away their intellectual property - but you can usually pick up older editions cheaply on ebay.
Hi justinokay, and welcome to this forum. If you have lots of time you can check places like ebay and come up with the Scott number sometimes. Another way might be if your local library has a Scott catalog. A lot of libraries do.
Even if your local library does not have Scotts on the bookshelf (or reference only), you can request an intra-library loan and obtain then that way. If you ask for a research check-out, you should be able to get multiple volumes for an extended loan.
