I received an ebay lot in the mail today and I was wondering if anyone can tell me whether this is a double transfer or if it is just plate scratches. The Scott catalog does list a double transfer on the stamp, but it is not one of the double transfers described by Riley in his article in TAR.

To me it looks like it might be bad plate wiping, but there is quite a lot of different stuff showing. I this is a scan, could you post a high def enlargement?

I think this is about as high-res as I can get with the 200K image size limit

Looks like a great shift North. The horizontal line through "S.I " of U.S. Inter. is the bottom frame line.

I agree, it has every appearance of a very nice DT. The one cent and three cent Lanman and Kemp stamps are known with major DT's.
