This is a link to an album CD a vendor in germany is selling. I note the description says the CD also provides a word file to edit. Would this include options re such things as deleting the frame lines?

These look to be souped up steiner pages but are an improvement over them. The price seem a bit hefty for a CD with just 19 pages, however.

Yes, the listing says a MS Word 'source' file is included. This should allow you to edit/modify the borders.

Edit; I downloaded his test PDF file, converted it to MS Word, and it is editable. I could easily remove the borders.

OK, dumb question.

How'd you do that? Will I need any special program, or just the full version of MS word- which I do not have.

Yes, you would need a full version of MS Word.

OK, I am using Windows 7 and have the free Word stuff on it but to now have not needed the full version, not sure if it's worth over $100 to delete some frame lines.

My son has the full version installed on a backup computer he uses so maybe I can do them on his system. What version of Word are you using?

I have Office 10 (so Word 10) and Office 2007 (Word 2007) on Win 7. You might be able to use the free 'Word Lite' that came with your PC. I am not sure which version of Word he will include, you might want to inquire with him. Ideally, he will use an older version of Word (using the older .doc file extension instead of the newer .docx file extension) but that is probably expecting too much. (The older file extension would be more compatible with the various version of Word.)
One way or the other, I can help you if you run into an issues.

Word lite , never ear about this , not a Microsoft products for sure, You means Wordpad .

Stamps1962 what you have is probably Wordpad ( included with Windows 7 and about all version of Windows they have one ) ) , when they include a free office word, excel and other on a new computer ( Dell, HP , they are full version but trial version, so they have an expiration in time.

Now I bet you , you can open those files with LibreOffice Writer , that is a completely free equivalent of MS office Word.

This doesn't seem any cheaper than a set of Schaubek colonies/offices pages

http://www.schaubek.de/Schaubek-set...919-standard

or cheaper than adding one's own Germanic eagles to Steiner

area66,
Computers usually come with Word Starter (we call it Word Lite). This is a limited version of Word that PC manufacturers preload on new computers.

I have 2010 Office Starter.

Just talked to my son, he offered to do these for me on his system. I did fiddle a bit trying to open the demonstration file using that, it is probably doable and I will look harder at that if I decide to do this.

The most important part of my rely was about using LibreOffice, but

Of course I know about the starter but it's not called lite in the Microsoft product list. last and only I know called officially called lite was the Office Lite Edition 2003 , beside THEY ARE NO OFFICE 10 , it's office 2016 , all true the Word XP( 2002 ) was also call word 10

Version RTF Version Word
1.9 Word 2007/Word 12
1.8 Word 2003/Word 11
1.7 Word 2002/Word 10
1.6 Word 2000/Word 9
1.5 Word 97/Word 8
1.4 Word 95/Word 7
1.3 Word 6

look here , those are iso coming from Microsoft Technet, notice the X12 associate with Office 2007

please use the correct work, Starter, office 2016 so we all understand.

Witch brand come with a Starter beside Walmart cheap Acer ? , here in Canada Dell home computers come with 30 office trial, not a starter. Lenovo also At work we just purchase Dell computer and they come with Office Pro, But my point was; with Windows 7 they are no office included it come with Wordpad, Personally I build all my computers and to be honest I'm use to forums where peoples build their PC so when we talk about windows 7 it don't include a cheap brand name pc with it.

here first Dell and after Lenovo

I am not sure what the fuss is about. Office 2016 (Office 365 Home) is available for $99 per year on up to five computers. Microsoft Office Pro had some additional features that I don't recall using. The 64 bit version remains compatible with ACE OLEDB 12.0, the Access 2010 database engine, needed to enable 64 bit SQL Server to query Excel spreadsheets.

Although Office 265 requires a yearly renewal, it is probably less expensive than full Office upgrades every couple of years.

For and individual pages I scan Steiner pages into My Pictures and edit with paint, erasing anything I don't want.
