Canada Scott/Unitrade 399 Scarcer Postage Stamp Variety

I have been studying the Canada Scott/Unitrade 399 postage stamp for some time because it is found with two slightly different perforations: 11.95 per 2 cm and 11.85 per 2 cm.

The scarcer perforation so far is the 11.85 perforation which has slightly bigger holes, has rounder holes, has cleaner cut holes and has straighter running holes than the 11.95 perforation.

So far after seeing many hundreds of full intact mint panes of Canada 399 over many years, I have only found them to be with perforation 11.95 which is the older/earlier perforation.

I have so far not found any full intact mint panes with perforation 11.85 which is the newer/later perforation.

This may help to be an indicator of how scarce the 11.85 perforation really is in comparison to the 11.95 one.

Would you rather have the scarcer good looking perforations or the common bad looking perforations?

I am a specialist, although not of these stamps. But I would try to go for both varieties.

I have three full panes, all perforated 11.95.

Of my singles, I have only one perforation 11.85 - a MNH horizontal ribbed front on dull paper.

It would also be hard to get a matched set of inscription corner blocks of those with the new perforation variety. This variety is shown in the UL block which also has a slightly different looking tone of paper than the other non-variety blocks.

I have decided to test the market with these stamps to see what happens so that I am listing it on ebay. It is currently a semi-unlisted variety of 399 in Unitrade by being mentioned but not given a variety number with letter such as iv even though it is a legitimately issued postage stamp rather than an unissued stamp like some that are listed.
