Unitrade does not indicate paper fluorescence for this stamp.
I have a philatelic stock UR block of 4 on high fluorescent paper.
All of my other SC 556 stamps are on dull paper, including a LR inscription #1 plate block of 4.
Does anyone have any of these that are not on dull paper?

My 556 10c stamp is not tagged as well as my FDC with block of 4. I refer to page 23 of the Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps, on this subject. Most 556s were not tagged as mentioned in Unitrade Cat. It is interesting to read the history of Tagging of Canadian stamps, phosporescent at first and switched to fluorescent after 1972. |

Renden is correct.
However, I am not referring to tagging (OP2, OP$, GT2, WCB, W2B, etc.).
I'm talking about the paper itself (dead, dull, DF, F, LF, MF, HF, HB, etc.). |

I understand, BlackJag, that you are referring to Paper Fluorescence and Unitrade, p25,does mention that a Raytech LS-4 lamp was used as the standard for determining the various levels of fluorescence. My UV light is a Raytech Model 4 but I do not have the expertise to compare the various paper manufacturers and I sure would like to know who has this expertise - |

Of the dozens of examples that I have of this issue, mint/used, including the W2B tagged and Hrib, none of them are on dull paper. All are, to some degree, on a high fluorescent paper. All have a Hibrite back and varying degrees of fluorescence on the front, from low fluorescent (carmine color appears pink under UV) to hibrite (carmine color appears purple under UV), but none with a dull paper. |

FGM - I agree with you.
I re-checked mine and they are two levels of fluorescence as you stated. |
