McCann lists the French version of BK 34 (3c War dark carmine panes of 4) with the 7c and 6c rate page and a 12 mm staple as type e. But Unitrade 2016 does not have any French BK34 booklet with the 7c & 6c rate page. I have just got one of these and was wondering why Unitrade does not list it and if it is a rare or just uncommon booklet. Any comments would be appreciated.
Peter - Canada is a bilingual country, English and French. Some booklets were issued with English covers, others with French covers. Eventually they were all issued with both languages on the cover.
Mea Culpa. I missed where he said "French version". Thank you BeeSee. By the way, we are now bilingual also. When I call my doctor for anything I have to first indicate whether I want to speak English or Spanish!
McCann normally lists a greater number of varieties than Unitrade does on most booklets. Unitrade lists 34a/b/c/d with English and French versions of each. 34d has the 6c rate page with the 7c surcharge with a cover and text in French.
I believe the McCann 34e French version you refer to is the same as Unitrade 34d French version.
