Does anyone know of a reliable means of determining whether a particular example with a straight edge on the top margin is Sc 153 or 153as? I've been unable to find any documentation on how the KGV Scroll issue was printed that might indicate whether examples of 153 exist with the top margin straight edge.
Sheet stamp 153 vertical wove paper with rougher feeling and looking cut straight edge from a round knife cut wheel. Booklet stamp 153as horizontal wove paper with smoother feeling and looking cut straight edge from a straight guillotine.
