Americover 2016: August 19-21 In Falls Church Virginia
2016 August 19, 20, 21
Americover 2016 is in Falls Church, Va., this weekend (August 19–21), as the American First Day Cover Society holds its annual show and convention.

The show will be held at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park, 3111 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, VA 22042. Admission and parking are free. Bourse hours are 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Sunday, with a cachetmakers bourse Saturday evening 5–9 p.m.

Americover 2016 also is hosting the following annual conventions:
• Universal Ship Cancellation Society
• American Society of Polar Philatelists
• American Ceremony Program Society.

The show features:
• a first-say ceremony for the Patriotic Spiral stamp Friday at 11 a.m.
• a dedication ceremony for the Soda Fountain Favorites stamps on Sunday at 10 a.m.
• 160 frames of APS World Series of Philately first day cover exhibits
• 31 stamp and cover dealers, and cachetmakers
• meetings, seminars, special auctions, and nightly hospitality suites
• a youth table
• a representative of the U.S. Postal Service will lead a discussion about FDCs Saturday
Scott English, APS Executive Director, will be attending the show and speaking at the first-day ceremony.
Many of the dealers will be selling FDCs for the new National Parks and Pickup Trucks stamps, among other recent issues.
