These stamps were sold to me as 1862 reimpression. Before receipt, I had not seen the reverse, with 'LE FAC-SIMILE' printed across it. Naturally, I am suspicious - but I have not previously seen an example of the issue. Could anyone help, with info as to what I have here? Any possibility that it's genuine?
Thank you.
Chris

Maury's price for a mounted mint 1862 reimpression, of which I think 6,000 were produced, is €1,100. It appears plain that yours was made, presumably in France, as a reprint for philatelists. It certainly shouldn't have been sold as an original.

It is therefore a copy or reproduction.
