If you go with Palo then go with the Gibbons Layout Pages and then get Gibbons catalogues. You can then get an old copy of Scott Classic

Funny how things work out. I am very near completion of my MNH USA 20th Century collection and have been thinking about what to do next. While perusing thru the various forums here on SCF, I came across this thread. I do not have the resources like ohads I do wish to follow in his footsteps with used stamps. I will formulate my questions soon. It is really nice to see so many familiar names on this thread.

Use Gibbons catalog, even an old one alongside Scott general catalog.

I really like the Gibbons crown albums like this one

I think they still make them, but hingeless, which makes them multi-volume affairs. I prefer these older ones which come along on ebay from time to time. I'd definitely go for one with interleaving - most seem to have it, but not the one in the video.

Advantages are that you have a clear idea of what you have and what you don't have, tending towards completion of particular countries/pages. Disadvantages are that some of the spaces are unlikely to ever get filled (expensive ones) and you can only collect singles without selvedge etc, if you want to preserve the page layouts as they should be.

Anyway, a great project I think. My album is only a quarter to a third full - but still looks great.
