Italian Stamp With Inverted Center. Real Or Fake?

Received my Cert from PF. Not what I'd hoped. Now I know what I have. Thanks to all who took the time to offer an opinion.

These stamps come in many shades, including dark blue, cobalt, sky blue, light blue, etc. So the color cannot be a basis of an argument here.

As many catalogs mention, "inverted head" variety has been extensively forged using printer's waste. To confirm that it is a genuine variety, the stamp should be clearly postmarked on cover or on piece, or, if unused, expertized (I would advise an expert in Italy who can compare this stamp with his reference collection).

Sergio Sismondo? Well, his wife sold to me on DelCampe a couple of damaged (creased gum) stamps advertised as "fine-very-fine." I wouldn't buy from them again.

The stamp looks like a very good fake, complete with embossing. I wonder if it can be attributed to one of the more famous stamp forgers?
