1971 Scouting Michel #684 (Recognised but unpriced) Michel Lists 20th August. This MS with design print cancel 20th July 2 bragging points, if you can name the knot on the stamp.

The knot looks a little like a double fisherman knot, which is used to tie two climbing ropes together, among other uses. |

This is the biggest stamp in my collection. For scale, I've photographed it next to one of their first definitives, which is pretty much a regular-style stamp, before the Trucials discoverd the joys of wallpaper.  |

The knot looks a bit like a fisherman's knot but would likely slip, as I think the first loop would just untwist. |

Some of the illustrations on this set were previously used on a set of Polish stamps. Haven't got a cat number but the Fujeira stamps are listed as 1973.   |

Wow! well spotted you, Ringo. Poland was 1967 Sc#1492 > I have a Dune stamp somewhere, where the image was lifted off a Fish Tank magazine. |
