Auction Catalogue For Australian Stamps - 1948

This came to me with my father's Australian collection. I've included the cover, two pages of illustrations and my favourite item - many, many blue kookaburras with an estimate price of £6.

The two pages include one of some essays, proofs, etc. The other contains mainly KGV side faces and 'roos.









If there is any interest in seeing the whole catalogue, I'll see what I can do about scanning the whole thing. It consists of cover, 32 pages of listings and 12 pages of illustrations.

Oh my, those essays......

Yes, they are quite something, aren't they. But on the whole, I think that generally their designs are perhaps a bit fussy.
