Vonmerowing asked me to post these images for him. I am not sure if he has specific questions; might want to hold off on replies until he has had a chance to post.

Very common and worth very little. However, don't you love that you have a stamp with a face value of 20 million marks? I have a collection of these, and I think they're great. The Hitler ones I'm not fond of for obvious reasons, but still of historical interest. The value of these lies in their telling of German history, rather than monetary value.

Hello,
In your last scan I see quite a few I would be checking further on if you are like myself & think more than 100Euro. is valuable ;)
The inflation area is very tricky, but you'll find a lot on the forum if you do some searching.
Second stamp, last row, last scan can be worth over 100Euro if the watermark is right, also you have a lot of 2 Millonen over stamped/surcharged on 200 reds there, & one is canceled I think, they can be valuable. There are a lot of different shades etc. in those alone. And again the watermark counts too. There are others here on the forum that know this area well that may help.
If I was you I would spend a bit of time researching the stamps in the last scan ;) before giving them away.
Good luck.....Jad

PS...(3rd row, 1st stamp, last scan) 250 on 500 red is worth checking too if that's what I'm seeing.

Hello Christian,

I'm the last person to ask that of on this forum my friend :) I wish I had enough knowledge to help, but others here have that gift & share it ;) & their time too.
I'm in the same boat as you, I ended up with a pile of damp damaged albums a few years back on top of what I already had, & my quest started then to save them. I'm learning as I go with help from many people here, & old threads & links they have posted on the forum in the past.
Everything I wrote above I have found & learnt here searching, while sorting though a couple of hundred of my German stamps.
The value/"devil is in the detail" on stamps, you saw the Mexican thread of mine, those are one of the types of stamps you are looking for if it's added value you hunt, there are many variations. Any little differences from the normal ones ;) are good.
It takes lots of time but bets watching TV.
I haven't even started on learning the Aussie ones yet ;)
You have a steep learning curve coming on the search function, but I'm sure you will enjoy the history that many here share in their threads.

All the best with your quest, later......Jad

This will get you started......check out the links in the threads you find ;)

Here are both possible watermarks for your 30pf, note the huge difference in values, these & other seemly small differences are what you are looking to check on stamps.
