Leafing through
ebay last night, I stumbled on this cover and immediately clicked on the Purchase button. Not old, compared to some of the others in my growing Niagara collection, just October 31 1959. Stamp is very common, 5¢ Elizabeth II definitive. But I HAD to have it.
Why?

The gentleman's name on the corner card was very familiar to me. He was my Uncle Harry! My mothers baby brother. Uncle Harry was a cartoonist, artist, designer, friend to actors, musicians and the like. He was one of the reasons I became an artist.
Uncle Harry died in 1971 when I was just 11 years old, but I remember him fondly. Interestingly I found one of his business cards, same design as on this envelope, in a book I
inherited from my Grandmother. I gave it to my cousins (he and my Aunt Judy had 4 sons) a few years ago at her memorial.
They're not getting this, though.
This is the dealers image. I wait with baited breath for the original to come home.
