Hi floortrader,

Your purple revenue stamp is a 5k Railway Parcel Quay Fees stamp from 1929.

There are also two other shades in the same design but both of these are without an umlaut on the "u" of "Turkiye".

Hi Rod,

A similar postmark is shown in Coles and Walker.

Their illustration has square corners rather than rounded ones but I don't know if this is just the way it's been drawn or if different versions were delivered to the post office.
