Cleared out some albums/binders and put them on ebay. Earlier this week, I took dlivery of a couple of lots of French postcards that I'd taken a punt on. Sometimes, punts sink, as this one did, being largely dull town-scenes, so most of them will be heading ebay-wards in the near future.

Yesterday I visited the State Library of New South Wales to do some research on my next article (no spoilers!).

Left home at 5.20am and back home at 8.40pm. A long day but well worth it. Sydney is a construction zone, to say the least.

I have been looking at British Commonwealth collections on ebay and at auctions to jump start my collection and very hard to determine content. The problem is not the price but knowing you will get some that are useful as photos and descriptions do not always tell much.

Collections on ebay are always a crap shoot. Currently I prefer Cherrystone and Kelleher for collections. Last night I listed (ddaannv) about 50 space program covers from the 1970s, and next up I'll organize more MNH UN to list.

I was experimenting with country title page for my Steiner pages.

I used quick info from the Big Blue blog but wonder where to final a reliable source for country maps (something basic).

Note: This is a screenshot from Scribus and the border around the quick information will not appear on printed page.

Finished writing up 2017 Ireland issues. All I need is an album to put them in. Three albums ordered on 20th February have not arrived yet.
Bought some Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela postcards in preparation for first day cancels on 5th April.

Been working on making insert pages to act as "keys" for the Vario Pages I use to house my collections. Working on Australia. Have finished the 1902-1910 dues and regular issues from 1913 to 1918 and already at 34 pages (17 double sided).

Here is page 29

I created some country title pages for my collection. They are simple - just country name - but match the Steiner design (same border). I decided not to spend the time to create fancy ones at the moment.

I also ended up ordering another 5 Lighthouse Vario-G binders since my page count (not all have stamps) is expanding and now plan to organize them more in alphabetical country order. The advantage of Steiner pages is you can print as you need them.

I discovered on the Steiner CD that he has provided specialty pages that are not part of master set like I saw a few GB KVI variety (colors, watermarks) not found in his regular page set. The only clue was the the filename (like GB KVI Varieties.pdf)

Also, the CD has a folder call classic and worldwide. The classic section has pages up to 1952 or so but I noticed they do not always match the worldwide pages for the same range. For example, I saw an space error (frame too small) in a Classic page but fixed in the Worldwide section. I reported these to him but no response.
