Today, reviewed about 200 CSA's for forgeries in stamps and cancellations. Found 4 NY London fakes.

Made a dedicated album page for number cancels on US #720, and mounted 14 stamps on the page. Found 3 possible plate variations on US #720. Began making album pages for the Brazil Allegories issue of 1920 - 1941 using a 1974 Minkus WW vol. one catalogue as a reference source. |

Busy day while the electrician rewired the upstairs going through several hundred precancels. Added about 170 to the collection. Woot! |

I wonder how many stamp groups meet during the day rather than the evening. |

Went to the York stamp fair - chatted to some old dealer friends and bought a couple of items. One of which is a bit of a puzzle. So a good day. Also fixed my PC so I can connect to teh internet again.

Mounted a few more used Canada from a lot purchased from a fellow forum member, including a nice Year of the Tiger souvenir sheet. Also did some reading and interactions on the forum here, mainly on Belgium topics. Tonight I close clipped and sorted all the recent US collected from my and my friends' Christmas mail. I'll pick one of each to undergo the Bestine removal process and file the duplicates on paper. A good day! |

I finished hand making 17 pages (not computer gifted) for the Brazil Allegories, 1918-1941, 7 types for 148 different stamps. Now to get down to the watermarking and perfing to see what stamps I have in that envelope that has been waiting for this moment for several years. |

I spent time perusing this swell philatelic guide from the United States Postal Service. This three ring circus themed presentation of the wonderful world of stamps had me right on the brink of starting to collect new self-adhesive US issues- until they sent in the clowns. |

I merged my US mini-sheets, booklets, and coils into one collection using protective sleeves.
I have integrated other collections and see how others collected.
What I do not do:
1. write on back of stamps 2. mount stamps on back side of page 3. do not mount spares in the main album and never stack. Keep spares separately 4. rarely mount stamps that do not have spaces on pages (and not randomly like some). I will keep stamps that need a space usually on a Vario page in the area it will be 5. Do not write on page except to add a catalog number of the stamp and it will be under stamp. I see some put values next to stamps. My Dad does this.
