Hi guys...Take a look at this 2 old stamps I found in a box..yes they are crappy, but it is the top border I was wondering about..One is faint and the other is solid..Common..?

That's interesting, almost makes me want to start hunting the issue to see what I can find. I get lost in projects so I won't, too many now.

You are going to make me check auctions and see if I can find images showing the two types.

Common. I couldn't locate it, but we discussed the extra line in the upper left that looks like a re-entry, but is also common for this issue. Keep looking.

They are basically two different stamps - would it not be normal to be a bit different? If the stamps came from the same sheet yes, then I would worry!

The valid comparison is comparing 1's against 1's, and 10's against 10's.

I checked out other denominations an some look like the 10 cent and other look like t 1 cent, interesting. It looks like two designs almost in the same series.

Wert, have you looked at the specs for these two stamps? It seems to me that maybe different denominations in this series could have been etched by different engravers?
