I got an odd message today from someone apparently in the UK and allegedly from Parcel2Go advising that my 'parcel' is being dispatched and giving me a routing number:

P2G37563259
Impact Express
1 Items
15.0kg, 50.0 x 36.0 x 35.0
Blank stamp album pages, no stamps included

One little problem. I have not ordered any 'blank album pages'from anyone in the UK. I did not click on the link in the message to track but Googled this company and entered the above # and got a 'no record' message.

Any of our UK members know of this company and whether there have been any bogus emails being sent using their name? If this is a phishing attempt I felt others might want to know about it.

Hi Craig

Really mystified about this message you posted on this forum - this order shipment is from ME - it's not bogus!
You have ordered blank stamp album pages (i.e. with no stamps included) - from ME.

www.parcel2go.com is a well known parcel broker in the U.K. - the same one I have used with your previous orders, so I'm slightly confused why you thought it was bogus?

In fact it was excellent customer service that you received an email from them to advise you that the goods are on the way (I too sent you an email message advising that your goods are on their way by parcel2go) and providing you with tracking information.

Hopefully this should put your mind at rest, and any other stamp community readers. Parcel2go.com is well respected and not a scam.

Happy collecting everyone.

I think this is standard (and best) practice. I usually use Hermes to send items. If I provide the buyer's e-mail to Hermes, both of us can then track the progress of the package.

My apologies to David for what was apparently a 'senior moment' for me. I just plain forgot about the order I'd sent him.
David gives terrific service and has some of the best album pages I have ever seen. Hope this resolve things.
