They are likely the biggest stamp dealer in Europe, and for good reasons: quality products, reliable delivery, good customer service, great pricing etc. Have been a customer of theirs for long, and have nothing but good experiences.
Not sure how they operate on US, but if they keep up with the business model they've been doing in Europe, then you should have first class service.

I've purchased many items from Nordfrim without problem. They have great stockbooks with very reasonable shipping charges (which are based on purchase price instead of weight). |

How in heck are they able to offer such prices on these products? I did a quick price comparison on the Sweden album using prices for the page sections and binders with what I'd pay from a major discount dealer here in the US. That total was over a thousand bucks. Nordfrim is asking a bit over $440. I know prices on these are lower in Europe but this is almost unbelievable.
I may be getting a couple of these sets from Santa this Christmas.. |

Perhaps they buy in great quantities? Plus most of their suppliers are located in Europe, so unlike dealers in the US, they don't have to worry about high shipping charges, customs, taxes, etc. |

QUOTE: "How in heck are they able to offer such prices on these products?" They take a loss on every sale, but make up for it in volume. |

I have a decent Iceland collection housed in a nice Stender album I got a few years back. The biggest drawback to that is their policy of requiring users to have both the se-tenant issues in multiples AND singles. They do it with booklet stamps too. Probably the way things are collected there but to me it is collecting in duplicate. |

You cannot take a LOSS on every sale & make it up in volume. You CAN take a minimum/marginal profit on a large volume of sales and continue to be viable and grow your business slowly. European/foreign capitalism & US capitalism are two very distinct business models. |

I hadn't actually noticed a difference between capitalism as practised in London and New York. |

I think a lot of folks don't still realize how big NordFrim is... They are not just a single dealer, they are a group that owns dozen major retailers (such as Théodore Champion, AFA, or Philatelica Hungarica) around Europe, with total of 100+ full time employees. . Instead of buying a single container of stockbooks from Lighthouse, they buy something like 12 containers a time. So essentially they are doing bulk dealing in scale that is beyond most. For example in Finland most small dealers have given up totally on ordering from Leuchtturm/Lighthouse, and instead by their sales stock from NordFrim just like us collectors simply because they get a better deal. It's all about volume.
