I have 2 old indentures from 1866, with those 2 stamps (one on each). Indentures are very fragible, but revenues are in great condition.
So - just to ask before - is any interested to see them? They are perforated, just usual.
I don't want to go to scan the fragile indentures if nobody would like to see the revenues... because I am sure that with a scanning a fragile papers will go to be...
However, if those stamps are still interesting to be seen on this subforum... I will scan them carefully :)
Ther higher denominations are always of interest on document (well, to me anyway). Are the indentures oversized? One sometimes encounters oversized indentures on animal skin parchment where the parchment (and sometimes the stamps) have been slitted or scraped to better adhere to the document).
Yes, these are oversized, but not on the parchment. Just a very large (almost A3 format), very thick (almost cardboard) paper. Here are scans of the parts with revenues. If you think that other parts of the revenues will be interesting, too... I can scan them part by part. I have found also these 2 checks and some cemetary receipt from Washington... they don't have revenues, but why not to scan and show them when I am scanning these indentures which are from the same collections :)
No plate varieties that I can see on the revenue stamps. That burial plot receipt is interesting; looks like the embossed seal has some attractive imagery.
