A Link To 86 Items I Have Listed On Ebay

If you go to the Canada Post post office and have them send something with a meter on it (I know it's a philatelic no no not to use stamps) then one can get the postal code on the payment receipt as a minimum proof (not a paypal proof). However, it works to show that I sent something out in Canada and to the U.S.

I ship stamps on pages from the US to China & Australia and other countries on a regular basis. My cost is $10.91 for up to 8 oz. using ebay shipping labels. I then Insure items at my expense using ebay's Shipsaver application. The cost of Insurance is usually $1-2 unless the item is very expensive. I have collected on the Insurance a couple times on shipments to China but I don't think I ever lost an item sent to Australia. My shipping exclusions match the list of countries that Shipsaver doesn't cover.

I have enjoyed every "ounce" of knowledge shared today! It's a very weighty issue. I have spent some time today trying to make changes. Attempts that I tried on my own, that turned to head ache type help from more than one ebay associate. I do now have some international restrictions set. I will have to look at them again in the AM.

All of your thoughts have been awesome. If any of us can prepare for a problem before it happens, it probably will not happen!

KRelyea, I think that Jenny was referring to my list of excluded countries. When I saw my own list I thought the same. I am hoping to have another look at that list again today. I found this quote of yours interesting. "My shipping exclusions match the list of countries that Shipsaver doesn't cover." I will also look into that.

Jenny2U, I agree, when I saw the list of excluded countries, I could not believe how many there were. Some I have never heard of.

Jenny2U & KRelyea, I have read my list now several times, it does seem
to go on and on. When I did make changes yesterday, it was ebay that listed all of those countries individually. I recall excluding by continent. Not to discriminate, only thinking of safe shipping, I chose not to ship to Africa, South America, and the Middle East.

I would ask for your suggestions as to which of the countries on my list
you would ship to. I saw New Zealand, Israel ?? mid east, US Protectorates, Virgin Islands US, Bahamas ??. Please keep in mind that
I am not a stamp dealer. I am enjoying the excitement of the "Hobby"!

This matches the countries that Shipsaver won't insure. I ship 40-50 International items each month and have very little trouble.

I have sent several times regular airmail no insurance to Russian Federation, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela & Mexico I would include those places in the ship to as there are several collectors there and risk sending there by airmail

Great to have a good shipping and packing method, I also do. I have a dedicated packing table another table to make up all the envelopes with cut to size stifners and stamps ready to go, plastic protectors on the items. I get similar feedbacks now at over 8500 feedbacks
