I came across this lot of Mauritius stamps on ebay: I won the auction at less than 20% of my maximum bid! . So, what's the attraction - do you find it? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Looks to me like a study of the colour range of that issue. What's cool maybe is that the full range was acquired by the collector? |

edit: Quote: Is there a prize for the person who wins the contest? Oops, I did not even consider that. I were originally mostly thinking about sharing knowledge for cool stuff to look for on ordinary stamps. Anyway, I guess I can easily throw in a prize as well. The prize will be one of the items on my mind, as they are duplicated in the lot. The winner will be the one that first explains for the forum about the 'cool' factor. |

CanadaStamp - The wide range of shades is absolutely interesting as well, but that was not my reason for purchasing the item. I will still collect the shades, but I consider them more like a 'free bonus' from the lot. Thanks for contributing anyway |

Disappointing, as I'd set my heart on winning a cigar gently rolled on the thigh of a Bergen maiden ... |

Well, can't help you on that one! Still, if it's a slight comfort, it was actually the 'B64' cancellation (as you suggested) I was originally looking for, when I found something even better. |

If I'm not mistaken, it looks like there's 4 B65s in the lot and a couple of B64s. Nice find! [I don't know the area - so what about the B63 at the end of the 6th row - where was that used? - or is that another 65 and I'm reading it wrong?] |
