I wonder what they are. Where can I get them other than this hefty price on E Bay. |

I suspect that they will be readily available soon for the $30 face value. IF... Canada Post does not raise the postage rates soon, as it did the last time, creating a very valuable set of low-issued denominations. One is yet to be seen: Unitrade #CP3 ($1.22) |

Yes Sak. I looked at the pictures of the Richmond Hill store. Pictures only shows vending machine with regular booklets in.
I wonder if there is another machine. |

Thanks BeeSee for this info. If you see those new stamps I would be greatfull to you if you buy a complete set for me.
Tomorrow I'll check also in Montreal where they had those kiosks in 2013. |

BeeSee...just checked out that link to the new postal outlet in Vancouver and here is one of their "unique" features.
"A changing room where you can try on your online purchases immediately – and then return whatever doesn't work for you minutes later."
I personally find this kind of weird! |

I just received this information from Jim Phillips, Director, Stamp Services at Canada Post: "..the stamps are available in this new [Vancouver] Post Office. They went on sale October 31, when the post office opened. They will be available in Edmonton and Richmond Hill Concept post offices soon. No firm dates yet. We will be selling an Official FDC dated October 31, like last time we tested kiosk stamps. Will also be offering a strip of five mint kiosk stamps – one for each design, in the Permanent rate only." |

So does this mean that these stamps will not be rare as long as postal rates don't change? |

I went to the Richmond Hill store and they said that they don't know much about this yet but these are probably the stamps that will be printed in the newly installed machines that will be open 24 hours. It looks like two ATM's side by side with a tray to the side of each that will catch the stamps printed by the computer. There is also a door where you can place parcels that you wish to post. The printers were installed last week according to the clerk but they had no exact date when they will be printing out stamps. There is a pic at this link: https://www.canadapost.ca/web/en/bl...=mailandmoreI know that Germany has stamps similar to this and they are like wallpaper but there are different issues and denominations. Not sure about how these will turn out. Probably worth the $30 since anything could happen. I'll be working in Saskatoon the rest of the winter so probably won't have much time to check this out. Will try to go back once more this weekend. |
