Thanks. I saw the "private perf" comments in Scott but for a different issue. I didn't realize that many issues were privately perforated. I presume there's no additional value to a privately perferated stamp. Appreciate the help.

Hi Wendy,
not necessarily so.
There may not be a value ascribed by the catalogue producers, however the public is the final arbiter of price.

If one presents a page / collection of privately perforated issues, and the buyer
wishes to add depth to a collection, you may be surprised.

"Out of the ordinary" stamps /labels of any country, can and will be desired.

Enjoy your collecting of Czechoslovakia, it is a great country to collect, great designs, without damaging the purse too much.

Indeed. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but my view is that you can pay an awful lot for one dull stamp or relatively little for a huge lot of attractive stamps. And Czech stamps have consistently beautiful designs and engraving, As an example, I'm looking at an auction catalogue that lists an assemblage of nine albums and stock-books of mint and used Czech material, including a Lindner and a Safe, with an estimate of £110.
