I have a mint sheet of the state flag 13c stamps but in my Mystic album they are separate spots for individual stamps. Should I break up the sheet or just save the mint sheet?
My vote is display the sheet on a custom page and remove the page showing single spaces. To me the full sheet is a more impressive display. Mystic only shows singles because they want to sell singles to those who don't have a sheet, at a higher total cost than the sheet.
It's an inexpensive item at around $5 retail so I wouldn't fret too much if you break it up. If you do, you have succumbed to "collecting to the album".
If the sheet is only 5 dollars I would go ahead and get another sheet. That way you keep your album intact and still have a sheet that is very attractive.
If the sheet is in very good condition, I agree with the previous advice ... keep it intact. On the other hand, if there are faults (perf separations, creases, maybe even fingerprints on the gum side), consider breaking it up for singles.
If the sheet has the same stamp all over, I may not buy it. If I has a variety of stamps, I will happily buy the sheet.
But regardless of it, once bought, I will never break it apart. Hurts me personally, when people do so.
I dont even break doubles.
Thats one of the reasons, I never bought an album. All in VARIO G Stockbooks and Pages. I print information about stamps or ACE pages seperately and add it to the stockbook, next to the stamps.
