I know from time to time in this forum people are looking on what to do with an inherited collection or what value that a collection is worth? I know there are others (besides this one of course) that can help a person with that - What do I have here and what do I do with it- moment.

Over the years here there has been a few posts from people with an inherited collection who has no knowledge of stamps and stamp collecting. From a stamp collectors standpoint I would encourage you to take up stamp collecting. Use this forum for information or at least to ask questions. There is a lot of knowledgeable people here that will give you an honest answer.

With that said, for people who do not want to continue with their loved ones hobby, what information sources on the internet and what other websites can they try to get information about stamps.

One Site that I found that is a good resource and gives an honest overview on how to value collection without getting too much into the weeds is http://stamp-collecting-resource.com and look at the stamp values tab.

Are there others that you know about?

Without viewing and lots of questions any valuation is worthless .The saddest thing is people don't want to pay for a real appraisal but know what they have is valuable or think it is valuable.
