Scott 1266 Un 5c Stamp - Gummed On Both Sides?..

Found this stamp digging through discount postage. Can't tell if it's a gumming error or if someone just spilled something on it... :) Also has a partial offset on the back - or is it a setoff?..

I have been using set off, from recently (read it here)
Not sure if it is Universal verbiage.

Offset's a type of printing (offset lithography) - but it's also what lots of us still call these!

Wish it was more complete... what about the gum - is this a gumming error or something else?.. I'm trying to figure out what to price it at for ebay.

Looks like it was stuck to stamps it was on top of, which would be considered damage. I've pealed a lot of stamps apart, and the result look just like that. It only takes a little moisture to make them stick together.

I'd need really close-up, high resolution, photos to be able to venture a guess about the gum. You are basically looking for clues to reguming. See:

I doubt you'll get much on ebay without a Cert.The question is, with a damaged stamp, will it bring in more than a cert costs?

Regumming! That didn't even occur to me. I mean, it's such a run of the mill stamp, can't imagine why anyone would bother?..

Regarding regumming - I won't speak to that on this stamp specifically, but consider that regummers have to practice on something.
