hi,
Chinese stamps are not my area nor do I have a catalogue but I've came across a collection of probably a couple of thousand pieces similar to the two shown with lots of multiple stamps and all fragments, my question is do they have a value?
thanks

Not my area also,
but I am guessing, very much so.

Very nice material for the Postmark collectors, history buffs.
Keep them on piece at all costs.
Thanks for sharing.

The cancel on the first piece is a nice mobile train post office cancel. Usually, the value of these pieces depends on the stamps and the cancels. Peking, Shanghai, Nanking and Caton cancels are the most common cancels.

Hi Jony78; First photo; Peoples Republic of China,1950 Sc. 28 Rouletted, this stamp is the most interesting of the lot,If it was perforated 14, it would be worth much more.
Second photo;China;1931-37 Sc.298 & 313(orange),minimal value & common.
third photo;China:1946-47;Sc.690 & 738(green & carmine),these also common.
Imagine if they had been on entire covers!

hi all,
quick update..i limit myself to only collecting QEII errors now,to hold a ww collection would drive me nuts, I buy a lot from local auctions and end up with items I then list on ebay which furthers my own collection with funds, I do however investigate (stamp community help included) other material which has taught me more about history than school or books ever could.

The train cancel stamps sold on ebay for I think...£48 and were sent back to china the others unsold...

China stamps now have me intrigued which leads me to add a question,

Chop..

Is this a chop or a fancy cancel as in the US? I've only see a chop on a banknote?
Thanks
