Thanks to Nigel
The stamp with the star design within a circle is an Afghan official stamp, SG O173 from 1909.

Nor I, had me stumped.
Luckily we have collectors like Nigel, to end the head scratching.

I wonder if there is anything in the design, that should have pointed us towards Afghanistan?
Flag offers no direction.

I had this parcel stamp image in my database,
but could not recall it, at the time .

Shucks Blaamand. Thank you.

As you know, answering questions also helps both sides.
Merry Christmas.
