Here is a puzzle. My working hypothesis is that it comes from a sheet of #158 that had an imperforate column and was cut apart over a hundred years ago by someone not a stamp collector (postoffice worker?). Scott has a 158i imperf between, which is my clue. Has anyone seen something like this before? Is there some value here? Thanks

The arrow at the upper right denotes the cut-line between panes. Your stamp has a natural straight-edge at right. The panes were slightly miscut showing the edge of the next stamp across the non-perforated gutter. Fairly common.
