So, I had just an Office Max binder with about 200 Steiner pages, all US, mostly filled. Used junk, primarily, mounted, nothing of real value and mostly duplicates to my "real" stamp collection. However, this binder is missing. Hmmmm. I have used all techniques I usually use to wring, I mean coerce, I mean persuade the children to tell the truth , and I'm pretty sure they aren't up on the current location of said binder. Given all my wife's nerd proclamations, I doubt she absconded with it. Hmmmm. 'Tis a mystery.

I can't imagine a stamp collector losing something like an album even though I can't seem to find the book on Newfoundland I put away last week. |

I used to read my daughter a story called The Land of Lost and Found, where all of the things children lose go - it's probably there, along with the 4 Tops EP I mislaid in 1968. |

"How long have you been driving without a tail light?" asked the policeman after pulling over a motorist. The driver jumped out, ran to the rear of his car, and gave a long, painful groan. He seemed so upset that the cop was moved to ease up on him a bit. "Come on, now," he said, "you don't have to take it so hard. It isn't that serious." "It isn't?" cried the motorist. "Then you know what happened to my boat and trailer?!" |

Apparently, one must make a prayer to St Anthony, the Saint of lost things.
(See SAG Cinderella stamps on this forum)
I must try it with my missing Swiss Pro Juventute collection........... |

The album has been located, safe and sound. It was, interestingly, laying on my desk after I returned home from running a few errands. It was not there earlier. I promise. I'm only 47, so I can't be going on around the bend just yet. The mystery deepens, but I suspect one of the three (as I call my three girls) had it stashed. And Buddahboy, regarding stamp tweezers/tongs, the last time I took my 3 girls to a stamp show, we walked in with one pair of tongs and walked out with five. Three of those five had big objects taped to them, obviously to keep people from walking off with them. I had no clue until they pulled them out in the car, then THEY got mad that we turned around and I forced them to return the tongs and apologize. |

When my Scott Minuteman album turned up missing I cleaned the garage and found it. I would have bet my life that it was downstairs in my footlocker, but finding it launched me on a whole new world of ebay abuse. |
