Are there any experts on stamps for Germany that can tell me if this is the brownish yellow (#273)or light brown (273a)? I see a big difference in value and don't want to make a mistake. I intend to post on ebay and am trying to identify as best as I can.

It is impossible to discern colors of stamps from scanned images. My scanner, for example, would most likely present the ochre color of this stamp as a color which doesn't exist on this stamp.

Since these stamps are very common, if you compare this sheet to all/most of your singles...which are probably Michel #275a, this will probably give you a good idea what you have here. Michel notes that the cheaper stamp, 275a comes in different shades. This produces another complication.

One needs to compare many (preferably, at least a few dozen) single stamps of various shades to sort out varieties.
