Identifying Postal Markings From WWII German Stalags

Hello. Asking this group for their expertise. Note the rectangular stamp saying " 44 Geprüft Stalag VIJ" and the turbaned head. As I google Stalag VIJ, I see many similar POW postcards with different number and different images, but all with a similar stamping.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

"Gepruft" means "Censored", so this is a censor stamp & the number & image would identify which censor read the card. Each censor would have their own hand-stamp.

Personally, I'm looking forward to hearing from someone who can explain, or identify the head with turban which appears within this censor marking. Never seen anything like this one before.

VI is the military region (MÜNSTER)

J is the main camp designation 1941 (KREFELD) moved to DORSTEN in sept 1944 (sub camps will have a Z after the camp designation)

Population mainly: Belgians, Russians, Polish, Serbians and Italians.

17500 P.O.W. in January 1945

For the indian Head, would have think about the language written on the card (Censor was qualified for that language) but if somebody can ident the language??

If you have more of the card shown if not a mutilated card.

I believe YeaPolska is right. A way to identify who censored the card. There are other images. I have seen the head of a roman centurion, a painters palet a chess piece(horse) a beetle and a cow. Kind regards, Johan.

Regarding the "motif" of an Indian Head... it is known that this POW camp censors had various insects/animals etc to differentiate.

Thanks everyone, making sense now. When I first google translated "Gepruft" it translated into "checked". I initially thought the photo (on backside) was cut out of a postcard hence the deckled edge. Now I can understand that these photos were sent to my Dad (Polish POW) in the Stalags, probably in a letter and the contents were checked and stamped.
Now I see that over his 6 years as POW, the pics with stamps from 1939-40 were well worn (Stalag XXA) and the later ones were more readable (Stalag VI J). To conclude, I added another stamp from Stalag VI J with a Swan icon. Thanks again Roman Frackiewicz
