Sometimes dealers would leave their marks on stamps.

I think it important to understand that back in the 50's (when I started collecting stamps) it was very common for (European) collectors to also mark their stamps, especially if they were selling by means of circuit books. Some of these marks are not going to be easily authenticated any longer.

These are both expert marks. I don´t recognize the first one, but the second,"HALL FLA" was made by Werner Flaschendräger, active in Halle/Saale during the 60´s.
