I was googleing a German Semi-Postal stamp the other day (B144) to learn a little about its history and something popped up about it on Amazon. I didn't realize that some use Amazon to sell stamps. Anyone ever do this? Wonder what fees, etc. are. Based on this person's price on the item, it doesn't appear there are any bargains here.

For my needs I've found stamps to go workable for me buying and selling. Amazon seems to have no boundaries

First off all, am I correct in thinking that the stamp was hinged that the hinge was removed and only left a little mark on the original gum?

Second. If (mint) hinged, catalogue value is approx 18-20 euros. or 19-21 US dollars. Am I wrong I thinking this way? The asking price is above catalogue value in that case. The price asked is for a mint example, a hinged one should be no more than 4 us dollar That is what I would have to pay if I wanted one quickly, if I would ask around and show some patience I would probably be able to buy it for around 2/2,50 us dollars. I must admit, I am closer to the source her in Europe.

The problem I've had with stamps on Amazon is it is very difficult to search for what you want. They don't have a good database for stamps, and you get a whole lot of extraneous stuff with every search.

I've come across stamps listed on Amazon before, but almost without exception they're egregiously overpriced.
